Robert Ferguson
began service at Red Bird Mission in July 1994 as Director of Education
after having completed 30 years in education in Indiana. He taught
vocational agriculture for seven years, served as an assistant principal
for four years, and as principal four 14 years. He went back to
school at Ball State University in 1993 to be a graduate assistant in
Educational Leadership and worked toward a doctorate after serving
five years as a public school superintendent. Bob has a BS Degree
in Agriculture in Education from Purdue University. He also earned
a M.S. Degree in School Administration and an Educational Specialist
Degree in Educational Leadership from Purdue University. Bob's
wife, Paula, is currently a paralegal with an Indianapolis law firm.
Bob has served the United Methodist Church in several local church
positions. He was a Lay Leader and served on many church
committees. He and his wife are both presently Certified Lay
Speakers in the Muncie District of the North Indiana Conference and sing
in the choir at the Daleville UMC whenever possible. Bob also
teaches a Sunday School Class.
The Fergusons enjoy visiting their five children and 11 grandchildren
when they have time. Bob also enjoys playing the guitar and
singing. he and Paula have been know to do special numbers for
church services when asked. |
