The recorded history of St. Paul's began on November 30, 1850. St. Paul's was then served by a circuit rider who operated between Mishawaka and  Bristol north of the St. Joseph River. After several moves, the church finally selected a site on the corner of Beardsley and Edwardsburg Avenues in 1910.  E. Hill Turnock designed the church which features a tile roof, Bedford limestone trim, semi-gothic architecture, gray brick and gothic windows.
The windows are the salient feature of St. Paul's.  A creation of German artisans, the windows were shipped to this country, brought to Elkhart by rail and delivered to the site by dray.  It took the German craftsmen six months to install the beautiful art glass windows.  Worshippers and pastors through the years have drawn great inspiration from these magnificent windows.
The sanctuary has been upgraded many times, but retains the original character and beauty envisioned by its architects.  For a warm welcome, come and worship at St. Paul's.
